Headquartered in Quang Ninh province – Vietnam, Ha Long Investment & Development (“BIM” or “The Group”) is a private company (LLC) established in 1994, remarked by its first investment made in Ha Long Plaza Hotel, the first international-standard luxury hotel in Ha Long Bay area.

Structured as a holding company, the Company owns a group of subsidiaries (independent and dependent entities), which operate in various industries, including property development and management, hospitality services, seafood farming and processing, salt production, and transportation. In addition, the Group will soon mark its presence in energy, banking, healthcare and trading through its investments in various projects in the respective industries.

Today, BIM is one of the largest private companies in Vietnam. It has an asset base of approximately 1.2 billion USD (fair market value as of Q3 2009), business operations in many cities and provinces cross the nation and a workforce of more than 3,000 employees. The Group has completed and is currently developing a number of well-known projects throughout Vietnam, such as the 3,000-hectare Quan The Salt Farm, 1,200-hectare Dong Hoa Shrimp Farm, Syrena Tower Hanoi, Ha Long Plaza Hotel, Ha Long Cruises, Hung Thang Tourism Zone and Ha Long Marine Plaza (Ha Long City), Phu Quoc Island Tourism Zone, as well as Ha Dong International Hospital.

In next 5 years, the Group is forecasted experience a rapid growth rate due to the commencement of operations of its recently completed salt and shrimp farming projects as well as through a large pipeline of the new real estate and infrastructure projects throughout many locations in Vietnam.
